Who is Amber Frey? She was Scott Peterson’s mistress. She was a massage therapist. Because she was Peterson’s mistress, she became a key witness in the Scott Peterson murder trial.
Their affair began on November 20, 2002. Scott Peterson actually told Amber Frey that he had lost his wife. He also told her that he didn’t want to have children. On December 24, 2002, Scott Peterson reported his wife Laci Peterson missing. She was 8 months pregnant.
After a long investigation and trial in which Amber Frey played a key role, Scott Peterson was convicted of murdering his wife Lacy and their unborn child. He is currently in a California jail.
‘Amber Frey: Witness for the Prosecution’ is a 2005 movie starring Janel Maloney and Nathan Anders. It was on LIFE at 8 pm last night. The movie is a pedestrian account of the Scott Peterson murder case
You know, poor Amber Frey was also a victim. Obviously she wasn’t victimized like Lacy, but she still was lied to and mislead. Then, because of Scott Peterson, her entire life had to be put out there for the public to read about. She has kept a low profile in the years since the Scott Peterson murder trial.
I remember this story very well. I cried over Laci Peterson that Christmas. It was a horrifiying story that just got worse as time went by.

Dennis C. Blair will resign Friday as the nation’s intelligence director after a tenure marred by the recent failures of U.S. spy agencies to detect terrorist plots and by political missteps that undermined his standing with the White House.
Blair, a retired U.S. Navy admiral, was pushed out 16 months after he became President Obama’s surprise pick to be the nation’s third director of national intelligence. His departure is likely to renew debate over whether the DNI position, a daunting job created amid sweeping intelligence reforms after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, is fundamentally flawed.
Obama praised Blair’s integrity in a prepared statement and said that under his leadership the nation’s intelligence services had “performed admirably and effectively at a time of great challenges to our security.”
Blair’s offer to step down came during a phone conversation with Obama on Thursday in which the president said he planned to put someone new in the director position, according to an official familiar with the exchange. Blair’s exit creates a critical national security vacancy at a time when U.S. spy agencies are under pressure to step up their defenses against emerging terrorist threats.
His departure had been rumored in Washington for months, but the nature of his resignation — without a replacement ready to be named — suggested a lack of coordination.
The U.S. official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss internal deliberations, said Obama had first raised the possibility of replacing Blair in discussions with him earlier this week. The White House had indicated a preference that Blair stay in the job until a successor could be named. But Blair refused after learning that the president had decided to look for a new director, the official said.
Blair issued a statement saying that it was “with deep regret that I informed the President today that I will step down.” He added that during the Obama administration, U.S. spy agencies had become “more integrated, agile, and representative of American values.” Blair becomes the highest-ranking member of the administration to resign.
Current and former U.S. officials said the White House had discussed the position with former senator Chuck Hagel (R-Neb.), who serves as co-chair of Obama’s intelligence advisory board; James R. Clapper, a retired Air Force lieutenant general serving as undersecretary of defense for intelligence; and John Hamre, a former deputy secretary of defense who leads the Defense Policy Board.
Clapper is a leading candidate to replace Blair, a senior White House official said Thursday night, speaking on the condition of anonymity because the search continues. Officials said Hagel told the White House he would not be interested in the position. The former senator was abroad and could not be reached for comment.
Blair had been charged with carrying out Obama’s campaign pledge to move the country away from controversial programs — including the CIA’s use of harsh interrogation methods — that administration officials argued had damaged the nation’s standing around the world. But much like his predecessors, Blair struggled to gain traction in a position that is widely seen as lacking adequate authority to oversee an often fractious community of 16 spy services.
Blair sometimes made public remarks that revealed his frustration with the way the intelligence community functions, and that were seen as embarrassing to the administration.
In January, Blair questioned the administration’s failure to use a new team of specially trained interrogators to question the suspect in the attempted bombing of a Detroit-bound airliner on Christmas Day. The unit was created for such scenarios, Blair said in Senate testimony, adding, “And duh . . . the decision was made on the scene.”

The ninth season of the Biggest Loser is just a week away from its finale on 25th May 2010. After 18 weeks till 18th May 2010, Tuesday only four contestants Ashley Johnston, 27, Daris George, 25, Koli Palu, 29 and Michael Ventrella, 30 remain on the show fighting for the $250,000 prize amount.
The official website and other sources report that the 18th week on the Biggest Loser has all the four contestants sent their homes for 30 days. After the time period, all of them are contacted by Alison through scale monitor and informs them about the next challenge to run a marathon on foot.
Ashley and Michael decide to run the marathon together. Koli goes to Las Vegas and gets a martial arts trainer to get in shape for the challenge.
Daris is the best marathon runner breaking last season’s Tara’s record with a time of 4hours 6minutes. Koli finishes second with a little more than 6 hours. The other two finishes sometimes later.
At the weigh-in, Michael loses the most with a 23pounds drop. Ashley loses 15 pounds. Koli loses 13 and it is less than what he had lost last week. Daris, shockingly, gains 2pounds! While the first two contestants remain at the top, the last two are below the yellow line.
While the finale will have Michael and Ashley fighting for the winner’s crown, it is upto public voting that would take either of the two at the top! Watch The Biggest Loser finale on NBC at 8pm on Tuesday, 25th May 2010.

Monday (May 10) marks the beginning of an unofficial Judy Greer Week on CBS’ comedy block. She guest-stars on “The Big Bang Theory” this week, then follows that up with a “How I Met Your Mother” guest spot on May 17.
Tonight, she plays Dr. Elizabeth Plimpton, a renowned physicist, on “The Big Bang Theory,” and — hold onto your hard drives — rather than staying in a hotel, she opts to bunk with Sheldon (Jim Parsons). As in, in his room.
This news naturally has Sheldon’s cohorts struggling to wrap their sizable brains around the idea. And as for his roommate Leonard (Johnny Galecki)? Well, he’s just excited to meet Dr. Plimpton — really, really excited. He’s a fan of her work, and he reacts to being in her presence the way a 13-year-old girl might react to meeting Justin Bieber.

Jesse Stone: No Remorse, starring Emmy and Golden Globe Award winner Tom Selleck, will be broadcast Sunday, May 9th, on the CBS Television Network. Jesse Stone: No Remorse is the sixth entry in the CBS series of TV-movies based on the characters created by the late Robert B. Parker – and the first to not be based, in any way, on a Parker novel.

May is Prader-Willi Syndrome awareness month and we would like to help spread its awareness. Prader-Willi Syndrome or PWS is an uncommon genetic disorder that can be present since birth. The common symptom is overeating that do not stop even when the person is already full, other symptoms include muscle weakness and behavioral problems. This rare disease and its symptoms are currently observed to be shown by 40 people in Uruguay.
The rare chronic disease is very hard to fight as only little information is known on how to treat and support the patients and their families. This was the case for Maria Ines Fonseca whose daughter was diagnosed with the Prader-Willi Syndrome recently after birth.

April 8 (Bloomberg) — A United Airlines flight landed safely in Denver after a Qatari diplomat was involved in a disturbance on board, prompting two fighter jets to be sent to accompany the aircraft.
The diplomat appears to have been smoking a cigarette in the lavatory, a U.S. official said on condition of anonymity. The passenger claimed diplomatic immunity and made comments that air marshals on the plane took to be threatening, the U.S. official said. Earlier reports said he was subdued after trying to set fire to his shoes.
Police and officials from the U.S. Transportation Security Administration “responded to the scene and the passenger is currently in custody,” the TSA said in a statement. “All steps are being taken to ensure the safety of the travelling public.” The flight was UA 663 from Washington to Denver.
The detained envoy “was certainly not engaged in any threatening activity,” Qatari Ambassador to the U.S. Ali Bin Fahad Al-Hajri said in a statement posted on the embassy’s Web site. “The facts will reveal that this was a mistake and we urge all parties to avoid reckless judgments or speculation.”
The North American Aerospace Defense Command sent two missile-equipped F-16 fighter jets to accompany the plane to Denver International Airport, Captain Craig Savage said.
A call to the Denver airport’s press office wasn’t immediately returned, and airport police declined to comment. Denver Police Lieutenant Matt Murray also declined to comment and referred calls to the FBI.

Nigerian Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab is facing trial for a failed attempt to bomb a Detroit-bound Northwest Airlines plane on Christmas Day. The incident forced a global review of security. Body scanners have been introduced in airports in Europe and North America to detect the type of explosive that Abdulmutallab allegedly had concealed in his underwear.
Richard Reid was sentenced to life in prison in January 2003 for trying to blow up American Airlines flight 63 to Miami from Paris on Dec. 22, 2001. Flight attendants and passengers subdued Reid as he tried to light explosives in his high-top sneakers.
